OSSERVATORIO ITALIANO SALUTE MENTALE About UsThe Italian Observatory on Mental Health (OISM) was founded in 2001 by Dr Claudio Ajmone, Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist, with the purpose of monitoring the congruency of therapeutic theories and practices in psychiatry, their impact on the psychophysical integrity of patients, on their rights, and the social implications of psychiatric laws. OISM adheres to the Human Rights Laws as inspirational Ethics; it does not sustain any Theory on Man, Therapeutic practice, Religious or Political ideology, even though it does consider legitimate to highlight approaches which are respectful of human dignity. OISM is independent and has no conflict of interests with drug companies or firms operating in the field of health, Political parties, Unions or Religious Institutions. Affiliation is open to all people who share our Statute, regardless of race, religion, and political faith.
